display issues with xubuntu

I have jsut installed xubuntu feisty ppc using the alternate install cd. the install seems to be working just fine, with the exception of the display. the screen is blank for in the right quarter or so. and there is a big line at the bottom. im not sure this description makes any sense.

sounds like x is using the wrong drivers. If you can get to a terminal, you might be able to fix it with sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg
