I have about 75 mpeg2 videos (all together less than 4.7 GB) from my Sony Handycam that I'd like to burn to be able to play in my home dvd player. I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 and tried just burning the files using the Nautilus burner but when I tried playing them in the dvd player, there was no sound. I have looked at devede, mandvd, and tovid but none of those seem to be useful for making a dvd out of a large number of files. When I had Windows, I used the Sony Picture Motion Browser to burn the videos to disc. I'm still pretty new to ubuntu and am wondering if anyone can walk me through burning these.
