i hear this games been ported to linux anyone know where i can get it and if it actually works?

No longer sold directly, but check Ebay or something.

It should work after applying a patch, though you might have to do a little work to get it to work even after that (since it's a very old game binary built for very old versions of Linux). Search Google for some fixes and such for the game, but it should work fine.
