Hello guys

I have been blogging for almost a year advocating Linux and Open Source. I somewhat have been successful so far, averaging a 1000 users a day, and 1 or 2 front page Digg stories each month. I am seeking to expand and get more content on my blog and I want to hire a part time writer that is passionate about Open Source and Linux in general. I would expect him/her to write around a 2 blogs each week (around 750-1000 words).

The blog is targeted to beginners an perhaps on-the-fence computer users that are dabbling with the idea of Linux. So nothing really technical is required. Just some basic knowledge of Linux and Open Source and a LOT of passion :)

I haven't really decided on how much to pay but you should expect around $20-40 per article.

Here are some of my most successful articles so far:

9 Linux Myths Debunked (http://hehe2.net/advocacy/9-linux-myth-debunked/)

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Linux Users (http://hehe2.net/linux-general/the-7-habits-of-highly-effective-linux-users/)

OpenOffice.org 3.0: What to Expect? (http://hehe2.net/linux-general/openofficeorg-30-what-to-expect/)

Etymology of A Distro (http://hehe2.net/linux-general/etymology-of-a-distro/)

HOWTO: Convert A Friend To Linux (http://hehe2.net/linuxhumor/howto-convert-a-friend-to-linux/)

If you are interested please don't hesitate to PM me or reply to this thread! Thanks guys :)

1,000 hits per day? Hmm. I wonder why no one ever told me about your blog! :D

Perhaps I am doing a very bad job at marketing it? :D

No really as one who has a project to aggregate Linux blogs on one page, I am really surprised you don't know about it. I mean a couple of my blogs were really popular on the Intertubes! Got popular on Digg , StumbleUpon, and Reddit a lot, and you know the "sneeze" effect and exposure going popular on these sites have...

I like what you are doing. I read a couple of your article and they are very well written and informative. Your blog might just have given me the inspiration to try and write something.Your advertising skills are better than you think, you just picked up another reader!

Thank you mate, makes me proud :)

I would be more than happy to give my blog as a platform if you decide to pick up writing some day :)

That's really awesome.

I'd be interested but I'm not sure if I'd be able to contribute 2 articles a week.

Hello,

I love the structure in your design.

I have had a blog for the past three years loosely focused around the aftermath of recording a CD, DIY, and the lifestyle adaptation which has ensued. Part of that adaptation has been to switch to Linux, and to become a bit of a rebellious Linux evangelist. I've split it recently, but I am interested in other ideas. Check it out:
