ibook g4 booting 8.04 help

Have you tried booting fom the Ubuntu CD - hold the option key or the C key down at restart?
You seem to have files for booting from an iso, but you need the Alternate install iso (not the Desktop GUI) for that. You need to provide more details.

Thanks. I have tried to hold c while I restart but it dont works. I will go and try option key. Where can I get the alternate install?

Thanks. I tried to install manually from cd with openfirmware but I cant write semivolon ( : ).When I press shift and . it writes a >.
Any ideas?

You shouldn't need to use Open Firmware. Check that you CD is ok (burn it with Apple Disk Utility at low speed).
Anyway in Opne Firmware you have only a english keyboard. Here you can see its layout

I am able to boot my iBook using the standard 8.04 Live CD (the same one that doesn't work on my MDD), however, I did have to type 'live video=ofonly' at the 'boot:' prompt.

It says it is a incorrect cd..

If I understand correctly (is it swedish?) it says that it failed to mount the cd.
Try again, sometimes it works after it failed. Anyway you must be sure to burn the CD with the Apple Disk Utility at very low speed
