Greetings:
I'm not lazy, really. Last year I did the Persistence thing with 7.04 on my 1gig flash drive and it worked okay, but keeping files and prefs on a flash drive was just too fragile. This time I intend to create a dmg backup in case, but I've lost the knack at doing that techie stuff since, and reading reams of web advice on how to install 8.04 on a flash drive is driving me crazy! (when I try, the installer keeps telling me to resize a bootable sda partition which I've tried dozens of times!) Is there a cut and dry non-techie step-by-step procedure to do this? I understand that the next Ubuntu version will offer a near-automated installation feature which is LONG overdue, but I'd like to get Heron on my flash drive first. Any suggestions would be welcome -- and will there be a new watering hole for Apple Ubuntu fans when this forum closes?
Thanks!
