Ok another quesiton. My powerbook g4 ppc boots ubuntu 8.04.1 hardy live cd flawlessly with the option live video=ofonly. as in my thread earlier i explained when booting off the installed version on my hard drive, my laptop makes gnarly noises. is there a way to boot up with my installed version of ubuntu on my harddrive with the live video=ofonly option? i tryed typing it in at the boot screen but it says:
Welcome to yaboot version 1.3.13
Enter "help" to get some basic usage information
boot:
if i try and type in live video=ofonly it says incorrect or osmehting, i was wondering if anyone knows the code to boot up from that screen with the live video=ofonly option, which i have no clue what it does, but it works with the live cd so i figure if i give it a try with my installed ubuntu that it might work. thanks!
