I am interested in switiching to Linux/Ubuntu, and wanted to try it out by using the live cd option. I downloaded ubuntu-5.04-live-powerpc.iso and am not quite sure where to go from here.

I tried restarting and holding the option button, but the only os to show up is macosx. I also tried burning the iso file onto a cd, but the process failed while verifying and it was my last blank cd. Is there anything else I can do to run Ubuntu without having to partition my harddrive? Thank you.

I am very sorry for asking again, but I'm really in need of some help. I was told this is the best place for help.

1) Version 5.04 is three years old. Do you have access to a newer version?

2) Did you remember to burn the ISO file as a disk image?
