Age of empires II fullscreen problem

Hi, after installing XP on VirtualBox on Ubuntu 8.04.1 i installed Age of empires II and overall after installing Guest additions, i dont have any problems with full screen mode, but when i try playing Age of empires II this is what it looks like:

I'm not seeing the issue in the screen shots.

I'm going to guess you have a full screen and that the game isn't matching the resolution that you have full screen set to.

My guess (and this is only a guess) is that the vmware tools, dont' allow for 32bit color at the high resolution you maybe wanting and thus the game is going to the size it needs.
