View Full Version : [ubuntu] Inspiron 1525 - Wireless not working

For some reason or another, the wireless on my Dell Inspiron 1525 doesn't seem to be working. I've made sure the wireless switch is on, but the blue WiFi LED doesn't come on, and I am unable to do anything wireless. Interestingly enough, before I log in to any account on the laptop, the WiFi LED is solid.

I don't think it's a hardware fault, because I can use the wireless fine if I boot using a LiveCD. I can connect to my AP and access the internet fine using a LiveCD.

Wired LAN still works.

If it's any help, here's the output of iwconfig for wlan0:

wlan0 IEEE 802.11g ESSID:"" Nickname:""

This problem seems to have started for no apparent reason.

If you need any more information, please ask.

Thanks in advance for any help.
