Currently I am a new user to ubuntu, in fact I have hardly ever used any other distro linux before. Anyway, before installing ubuntu on a partition on my laptop I was well aware of the wifi issues I would recieve, I need to install Ndiswrapper.
Currectly I am switching between Windows XP to use the internet for guides and ubuntu and I am swapping files over my FAT32 external hard drive. At university we have fedora in some labs which you can boot windows from within VMWare.
I have VirtualBox, because it is free, and I would like to be able to boot my ubuntu partition within VirtualBox, within windows whilst I configure everything and get wifi working! Then I will make a complete switch and move to ubuntu and run windows within VirtualBox.
Admittedly the switcheroo sounds time consuming because you may think I would be better off booting windows in ubuntu from the off and then configuring it from there. But I figure I am going to have to restart ubuntu a fair few times. so would be easier to just reboot the VPC only.
So a few questions:
1. Can I boot my Ubuntu physical partition within windows XP on VirtualBox
2. Will the changes I make in the VirtualBox be present when I boot the partition without VB
