Hey Everyone

I am having some trouble trying to install Ubuntu on my desktop PC. I previously had Ubuntu on my computer and was attempting to install Fedora over Ubuntu and I had a problem with my boot grub. But now I am trying to reinstall Ubuntu on the machine and now when I get to the part where you typically get the graphical portion of the install I have green and black and blue and orange boxes all over the screen and it is a mess. Does this have something to do with a xorg.conf file? Also right before this occurs I see that the Ubuntu recognizes my video card. However Windows does still work so I do not know what the cause may be.

Thanks,
Shade

1) What is your video card?

2) Sometimes the alternate cd will work where the Live CD fails. Just click the box below the green arrow on Ubuntu's download site (http://ubuntu.com/getubuntu/download). It is text-based, but very easy to install.

I have an nvidia 6800. However last week I was not having a problem. I had ubuntu running. Now that I have fedora somewhat installed it is causing more problems.
