A couple of days ago I easily installed VMware 6.0.5 build-109488 on Hardy Heron. I had downloaded an iso of OpenSuse10.3 and easily was able to create a virtual machine with it. I have been unable to install VMTools after OpenSuse10.3 has been booted. I haven't tried any other GuestOS and do not know whether the problem installing VMTools only applies to OpenSuse10.3 or if it is a problem with any GuestOS in this build of VMWare. Can anyone shed some light on this for me? Is there a way to get VMTools to install? Thanks much. *Note: Just tried to load VMTools using a guest of Mandriva2008 - same results. Something going on with this build maybe? After doing much reading and searching I find that I cannot locate vmware-tools-distrib folder. I wonder why this wasn't created?
