View Full Version : [ubuntu] Keyboard Preferences no Unlock

OK, I can't change my default keyboard layout. There is no unlock option so that I can change the radio button. Obviously there is no other layouts at the moment because I removed the other one.

Yes, there is no Unlock function (root priveleges) button to change the radio button. I tried running it as root but then it just edits the keyboard properties of "root" itself.

Dvorak. I want Dvorak as the default. I would do 'setxkbmap dvorak' but that is not permanent, and, I want to be able to switch between layouts with a certain key like available in the keyboard preferences.
