I have four dogs and up till about a year ago I was taking them to Banfield (a corporation that runs veterinary operations in Petsmart stores) A trip to Banfield consist of waiting for an hour (with just one dog and a scheduled appointment) an hour in the exam room. Plus they are way higher on their prices. About a year ago I decided to take my dogs to a local vet. It took about 5 minutes to get our dogs into the exam room and 45 minutes for the exam (would have been 30 but heartworm tests take time) they're prices were lower and she explained after looking at the records from banfield they were shat pushers (giving them Kennel Cough Vaccine even though they never go in a kennel and giving the giardia vaccine even though they aren't exposed to it and its only 30% efective) Plus one shot they should have been getting (Leptospira for a disease spread by rodent urine) that they weren't giving them. So now I'm taking all my dogs to a local vet.
