Hi,

Let me explain myself.
I have a job mate that has a daru2, and it's quite an impressive machine.
I'm looking to get a daru3, and I was wondering if it's actually the same base laptop as daru2.
If you look at the pictures on system76 website it seems pretty different from daru2 (no WLAN external antenna connector, and all black glossy finish). I believe daru2 is a oem of MSI MS-1221, http://www.msicomputer.com/NB/product_spec.asp?model=MS-1221_Penryn.
Is daru3 based on the evolution of MS-1221, the MS-1223 ? (http://www.msicomputer.com/NB/product_spec.asp?model=MS-1223)
or maybe it's a completely different machine (possibly not from MSI)

Also can it be special ordered with a French Canadian keyboard layout ? (I don't mind not having the windows/ubuntu key stickers)

No, it is a completely different computer.
Also, we only provide standard U.S. English keyboards.
