Just a note for anyone who are interested in installing Linux on this a Compaq Proliant ML-370 (USE DEBIAN); Ubuntu 8.04 does not install and gives all kinds of errors even with workarounds / installation options.
I downloaded the latest Debian and it has gone through most oof the installation without a hitch; creating partitions works perfectly; i must admit at the time of typing this thread; i've not yet finished with the installation; but I am lightyears further with Debian than I was with Ubuntu.
Note: I am not trying to be negative about Ubuntu - I use it on two other machines; but on this one Debian is sofar, trouble free
