Hi have an external HD, that in order to switch files between a pc and mac, I formatted as FAT32; which created like 5 partitions on the drive.

I'd like to reformat it with one NTFS partition in kubuntu; anyone know how to do that?
thanks!!

you could try the program qtparted. just plug it in, delete the FAT32 partitions and make an NTFS one. Make sure you've backed up whatever data you want off the drive!

or gparted is an alternative tool to format & partition hd's.

but you will only be able to do this if you unmount the drive first
