I want to customize my sounds. I have changed what I could on my Cario-Dock and in my sound settings. But I dont know where or how I can apply a sound for when I empty my trash or when I plug in a device VIA USB. I would also like to apply a sound (customed sound) to evolution for when ever I have new mail.

hmmmm... looks like there are sound themes avaiable for kde but not for gnome. Yet anyway, it does look like there is a little movement towards that end though.

Well there are some aspects you can change for gnome, like the log in/ out chime.
Yo9u can change the sound that errors make and stuff like that.
There is no empty trash sound though.

Ya, I have already changed all that I could in the sounds tab, thunderbird (unistalled evolution), and Cario-Dock.

Is there a script I could use to apply a sound for trash and usb plugin device?
