I want to install Opensuse on a usb flash drive but I don't know if it'll fit on a 2gb drive. Will it?
Sorry I know this isn't the Opensuse forums, but you guys are really awesome about quick reliable answers. Thanks.

All I can tell you is when I install off the DVD, it says it's installing about 2.54GB

No. Not if you are doing a default install.
If you are prudent to cut out all the packages you don't need...you could make it fit. But you should also consider your requirements to save documents and other personal files on the USB drive (assuming you will use it as a portable desktop). Further if you plan on using functions that need temp space (like burning discs in some cases) you'll need even more.
Given that USB drive prices are falling, it might be better to buy a larger drive if you must use openSUSE. I'd try for 8GB or larger. But you can get away with 4 (especially if you are open to using other distros).
If you want to use your 2GB drive consider www.pendrivelinux.com, their distro only requires a 1GB drive.

I know what you were asking:P
I said what I said given what you mentioned, removing packages, etc...
If you have a 2gb usb drive, and the dvd install is 2.XXgb, than you can calculate Xmb of packages don't need subtract it from the dvd installation size (given this would be as big as it would get by default), and than add in the amount of freespace you want after the install for your settings and applications.
