Hi,

Is it possible to run iozone from a mac (with osx) in order to test a ubuntu server speed across the network. The mac accesses the server via samba file sharing.

If yes, any links on install and run instructions. I am newbee in this area.

I have managed to run iozone on the server itself but now wish to test the ubuntu box effectiveness as a 'NAS'.

Thanks

Thanks, any idea on how to run it as I understand that it needs 'shell commands'?

That would be application specific... Read the documentation on the site and read the man page. If someone has actually used it they might be more help, but asking outside this forum may get you more responses (like in the networking forum maybe) since it really shouldn't matter that you are on Mac.
