hi everyone
i turn on my computer and the screen of the monitor is total black. what could the problem be ?

my video card is ati x1950 which has 2 DVI out
i plug 2 different Monitor into it and both of them say no input
and i put both of them into another computer and they work.
so the monitors are ok.

the problem might be my videocard. can it be mainboard or cpu or somethign else ?
i use crosshair as my mainboard and the led inside it light and the fan of cpu und videocard also run.

at this moment my hdd is not connected, and i dont have the speaker so i cannot hear the bipbip of bios.

but can anybody guess what the problem could be ?

Have you recently changed the video drivers for your graphics card? I had a problem with my nvidia board after installing the accelerated drivers. To fix it, I just went and edited my X config file and changed it back to the original driver. I didn't get the acceleration, but I didn't get the black screen anymore either.
