I had this problem a while back and thought I'd solved it by disabling IPv6 and turning off windows scaling, but it's back.
On apparently random basis, something in Ubuntu prevents me from posting in web forums. I either get a timeout or a message suggesting I download a file called newreply.php instead of the posting being uploaded to the web forum.
This happens using Firefox, Opera and Epiphany - and I've tried clearing the cache without success.
My machine is dual boot and the problem doesn't exist using Windows Vista.
