Hello,

I am that Weddle Webguy and I am a paranoid schizophrenic. People with my illness often times find themselves using the computer as a primary communication means.

To us it just feels safer and has us less on edge to talk via the computer to other people.

I know it is going to sound odd, but it would make the Ubuntu Community much better if someone developed someplace or service where people with disabilities could gather and discuss IT and off topic discussions.

We are those who have plenty of time on our hands to volunteer to help out in development and support of the Community we love, but must feel like we have a safe place in which to communicate.

Also perhaps 3rd party vendors could design their products with we, the disabled, in mind.

It would put my mind at ease if someone dispelled all the myths about Linux in one convenient place where our minds could be put at ease.

Anyway, those were just some random thoughts.

Yahoogroups perhaps? I ran into a similar problem on a mailing list set up to deal with mental-health issues, where some of the regulars objected to technical questions being answered. My response was to create http://groups.yahoogroups.com/group/AssortedBitsAndPieces but so-far I've underwhelmed by the interest.
