hardy running slower after bios reset

in teh past ive done bios resets to get the pc to reconize componets that it wasnt picking up.

i put 2 new opticals in my newset box i built and another harddrive. it wasnt seeing them. i did a bios reset now preformance is greatly slowed.

anyone knwo how to put the pep back in this box??
