I've got Broadcom B43 on an Acer Aspire 3680, with Hardy.

(Yes, I checked the Sticky)

I had previously followed instructions from here: http://penkin.wordpress.com/2008/03/28/ubuntu-804-broadcom-wireless/

It went from not working at all to being able to show the wireless networks, but I'm still not able to connect. I tried at the library, it would say that it's connected, but I can't go on the Internet.

Now, I'm wondering how I should go about following the instructions in the sticky, given that I've got fwcutter and all installed.

I saw that post. I'm just not sure if I can do that since I've already installed fwcutter and all that stuff. I don't want to break anyting.
