I recently upgraded from 7.10 to 8.04, and it seems my (wired) network card somehow got lost on the way.
While it worked flawlessly before the upgrade it can no longer reach anything in the outside world, it does still seem to detect that i have two network cards and that only one of them is plugged into something.
Also the reason i did not bother upgrading until now is because the exact same thing happend when i tried last time, and i did not have any spare time to mess around with it.
