Is there a step-by-step tutorial on how to do this, im really new to linux so speak to me like im dumb haha. thanks!

You can go to you icon set, usually in home/<username> .icons (its a hidden folder), I don't remember which files exactly but the easy way is rename all the images with that icon to <iconname>2 or <iconname>.png.bck and put your image there with the original files name.
There maybe a better way, this is just how I change them
