no java applets loading/no youtube

hello dudes

this is hemant kshirsagar from india.
i have install the gutsy gibbon of the ubuntu variant.

i have no issues with the distro till the sites like youtube or the sites that load the java applets.

the distro simply fails to load the java applets or the videos:confused:

i have tried every software update for the distro but have failed.

P.S. i have used the add/remove program for the installation of the plugins... upgraded the software and still problem exists.

please give a solution to this problem

intel pentium 2.8
via motherbroad
512mb ram
80 gb hd
dual booted with xp
