The proprietary drivers that automatically installed when I installed Ubuntu were very slow. On the forums, other users suggested that one should use ndiswrapper with the Windows drivers to fix any speed related issues. I followed the guide on the Ubuntu site and set it all up. My speeds are still the same. When I'm connected by ethernet or when I'm using Windows, I get 700 kb/s. I'm getting 40 kb/s using wireless in Ubuntu. How can I fix this?
