hello i need a good mp3 player notice i tried rhytmbox and amarok

they both are the same with different interface :p

i need an mp3 player that do not queue the files that i want to listen to

i want it to cancel the current playlist and directly play the new playlist

a friendly G. interface

and i dont want it to notify me every time a song starts

i think thats all for my perfect mp3 player

any recommendations ?

My favorite has always been Songbird due to its great performance, although it's still beta software and I definitely felt the effects of that after the last release. Another good one that I would recommend would be Banshee although I have never been that content with it's performance because it tends to lag with my large library.

have you tried Audacious?
There is also XMMS2 or the
original XMMS (if on Hardy you will have to compile it yourself)

My favorite is Quod Libet. Can't beat its four different views. And the best tag editor around (Ex Falso).

I just checked that one out myself, sounds like a great player. I might be installing it here soon and takng it for a test drive.

Does it play WAV files, or should I ask does it have a plugin to play WAV files?

I think exaile does have one, or banshee.

The backend is gstreamer, so, yes. It should. Never tried. But no reason not to.

As for the Last.fm support : they pretty much all have it nowadays. Quod Libet, Exaile!, Amarok, Banshee, Rhythmbox... Sometimes it's called Audioscrobbler (old name for Last.fm), but it's always somewhere (unless the player is *really* new or *really* old).
