Yes, use Audacity from the repositories.

Can you please elaborate more?
I tried to do it but it record nothing or from my external microphone and nor from the skype.

You may need to check the audio settings under Edit->Preferences. In my case, since I use alsa instead of pulseaudio, setting both playback and recording devices to 'alsa default' did the trick.

Thank you very much for your suggestion, I found a much easier way, using the skype call recorder :D I am very happy to see it is available for linux too.
