Video RAM Question

I want to buy a System76 Laptop in the future(They look awesome!).
The thing is because of how Ubuntu doesn't need much Video RAM to run,Did you guys limit it to something?Because I would probably be very mad getting the Laptop with not so much Video Memory.

Depends on the laptop you get. I purchased a Serval performance and mine has a GeForce 8600M GT with 512 MB ram, which is more than my desktop "gaming" machine ever had. You can easily select a model from System76 with a lot of video RAM.
