I have a HP dc5750 dual core AMD 64 bit with SATA drive (both hard drive and DVD) i cannot seem to get ubuntu to install at all.

If i choose install. I watch the boot process by hitting CTRL + Right arrow and it it seems to die after loading Ubiquity (SP). No error messages, video just cuts out and the CD stops spinning.

If i choose boot to Live CD the desktop comes up but after about 2 seconds it freezes and 1 second later the video cuts out.

If i press CTRL+ALT+DEL i get a beep but nothing else.

I have set the SATA Mode to all three settings available in the BIOS.. Native IDE mode, Legacy IDE mode, and RAID.

Any ideas?
