For those familiar with uTorrent and its "Speed Guide"...

I installed uTorrent with Wine on my Ubuntu Hardy and go to the speed guide but when I click on "run speed test at" and "test if port is forwarded properly" nothing happens. The button clicks in but nothing simply happens.

Does anyone have any idea why that may be? Maybe I didn't fully install it correctly? Though I'm sure I went through the proper steps... it seems to run fine. Gets 3-4kb/second but jumps a lot when connected to a good seeder to upwards of 90kb/s. Though I do have a Yellow warning sign instead of a green check saying something about my connection and network configuration may be messed up... any idea what that is about?

Why would you use a proprietary (and controversial) software under Wine when you can have better open source clients running natively?

Try Deluge. Much better than uTorrent in my opinion and have all important features like DHT, PEX, UPnP, NAT, full encryption, RSS downloader, IP blocklist, file prioritization and more.

On a good swarm I get 450kb/s with Deluge easily, without DHT and PEX.
