Hi! I'm new to Ubuntu and linux (as in two days new). And I was wondering if anybody here knows how I can get my NeverWinter Nights to run on linux. I've been on the official site and there's some stuff, however, I wonder if it's different on Ubuntu. Another important thing is that they all installed the different CDs (Neverwinter nights, Shadows of Undrentide and Hodes of the Underdark). My problem is that I have The platinum edition, and I found something to install that as well...but it was for the three different CDs, I have the DVD-ROM edition. I really love this game and I would be greatly apreciative for anyone who can help. ^_^ Thank you all for being such a helpful and nice community. :KS

Look here (http://icculus.org/~ravage/nwn/). Unfortunately you won't find the platinium install.
Anyway it's quite easy to set up, it's juste about uncompressing files in a directory. And I guess using the platinium dvd edition would be even easier ;-)
And you can also find some good information on the officials forum :

The really important thing to check that you have the 3D acceleration set up properly, then just follow the instructions, and it just works. If you have an ATI card, give up now... It'll run too slowly to be playable...
