I've got an old laptop, running Hardy, with a broken ethernet card that I'd like to replace cheaply. I discovered these cheap network "cards" that you plug directly into a USB port for around $5-$10, and I'm wondering if Ubuntu (Hardy or Ibex) will support one. For an example of the device I'm talking about, look here: http://www.amazon.de/Trendline24-USB-Ethernet-Netzwerk-Adapter/dp/B000Z2IU00/ref=pd_cp_ce_3?pf_rd_p=213562491&pf_rd_s=center-41&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000RT3CA4&pf_rd_m=A3JWKAKR8XB7XF&pf_rd_r=02NQZDR85BHRZNYSBKN2

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Please note, I'm not asking about wireless adapters, but about a small 10/100 Mb/sec network card that plugs into USB.

Any ideas whether this is supported currently (or soon)?

Thanks,
Shane
