In a Samba/OpenLdap controlled domain, are there any tools about that allows administration of the clients as a whole. To allow easy roll outs of changes at all?

I've got approximately 40 Ubuntu desktops running from an openldap Ubuntu server, because people are constantly moving and logging in on different machines I need a simple way to keep track of where IP people are logging in on.. I've looked into openldap auth logs but can't see to get any joy!

This might be a job for Landscape (http://www.canonical.com/projects/landscape). I haven't seen or used it myself, but according to what Canonical promises, it should work.

I've requested a 60 day trial, hopefully i'll hear back soon!
