View Full Version : [other] Eeepc and niceeepc.sh script, what about software updates?

Hi,

just ran niceeepc script here on my 4g 701 asus, it's all fine. I patched the overclock problem and now it's all fine. I have two questions:

1) overclocking : cat /proc/cpuinfo gave me 675 MHz in overclock mode and 630 in normal mode, it's normal? (won't be 900 instead?) (a little OT here, I know :)

2) About software upgrades: here in my fresh ubuntu hardy 8.04 I need to upgrade, but... what happens to all the scripts, tweaks and to the special EEEPC kernel here? will they be overwritten by the upgrade?

Many thanks to anyone experienced in that,

Sorry for that - I haven't found a "delete thread" key and I try changing the topic from [other] to [ubuntu] because it seem that many people don't read those kind of [other] topics

:)
