Hi

I was directed here by an enthusiastic fellow ThinkPadder to download Xubuntu. I have an IBM T21 ThinkPad laptop, PIII 1GHz, 256KB of L2Cache & 512MB of SDRAM, S3 Savage/IX with 8MB of SDRAM. I have had disappointing results with Puppy Linux, mainly not supporting my wireless card, & DSL Linux not even installing properly! I hope that Xubuntu will be jst the ticket to bring life to an old laptop, currently running Win2k. I want to install Xubuntu to dual boot alongside 2k tho the how to page is having server trouble at the mo'.

I was wondering is there a site with working PCMCIA cards? I want to use my Linksys WPC54G card, has this already been reported as working? Any other pointers? I guess I can repartition the HDD with the Xubuntu live CD.

I used my Linksys WPC11 ver4, and it worked really good with Ubuntu.
