Hi all. I have a dual monitor setup: #1: main monitor; 24-inch, 1680x1050 | #2: rightof, 17-inch, 1024x768, running just fine and as expected with the nvidia-new driver and Twinview. However, I would like to be able to play a fullscreen game that runs the iD Tech 4 engine ( in the immediate case Enemy Territory: Quake Wars) in fullscreen on the main monitor and be able to drop the console down in the game and have access to my other monitor that will have ventrillo, AIM, rhythmbox etc.. open. I've read that fullscreen gaming on dual monitors is possible with xrandr. I'm wondering:

#1: is what I want possible?
#2: do I need to do anything special to get it working?

Thanks in advance for any help!

So is fullscreen gaming working at the moment? I've got fullscreen games working well on one monitor but the second monitor is just turned off during gaming. I'm not sure if what you're asking is possible.

Well that's a start. How are you setup for dual monitors? Twinview, xrandr?

Thanks for replying!
