Doing my home work...

This is my assignment for my course "Web Search algorithm". You can find the detail by following the link.

Basically the home work is to have my page appear on top of the Google search result while querying the word wriggle ... the only thing I know to rise the page rank of that page is to post link to that page in other place...

Is there any other better ways??

PS: please do not post any links on your reply as it will drop the page rank of this page and subsequently lower the page rank of the page my link point to...

The forum staff has discussed this post at length. Though some of us feel that the project itself is interesting, the link you provided is clearly spam. We have a zero tolerance for spam in this forum.

The link is spam because it's purpose is to generate hit statistics. Even if the statistics are a result of genuine research, this is still against our forum policy.

I've left this thread open to continuing discussion because I think that the project may be worthy of it, and I also think that the project can be discussed without actually spamming Ubuntu forums.

ugh, i guess this is what is generally known as SEO or Search Engine Optimization, and it is a plague on the internet. the comments on some blogs are nothing but endless links to other blogs and sites selling recreational pharmaceuticals.

it's really despicable because it breaks google. instead of finding what you were searching for, you get a lot of crap floating to the top. and also because it destroys what should be legitimate dialog with the comment spam.

The only thing I can think of is to check out "Add your URL to Google"
