View Full Version : Suggestion - "User CP" is not intuitive

May I suggest that "User CP" be changed to "USERNAME's Settings" or "USER_NAME forum settings" or "Configuration" or "Forum Settings" or "Forum Configuration" or ... anything but "CP".

"CP" does not seem to be in the dictionary.

It's also unfortunate that the "User CP" page comes up without content. Or, given the busy, centered nature of forums, apparently without content. The eye tends to ignore left and right column boilerplate.

Might it be better to:

1) Make the left hand clickable items clearly clickable.
2) Put the settings that people use most often in the main page.

Sorry if this seems nitty. It took a month of many, many signin attempts to even sign in to the Ubuntu forums, so ... :)

Ah. P.S. "Submit New Thread" --> "Start New Thread" or "Send message" or "Post New Thread". Above the clutter of "Tags" and "Post Icons" options (simple textbox entry form).

Yes, for those of us of the 4chan persuasion, CP has a very different meaning...

The main page of the user control panel is full of your subscribed threads, if you have any
