A few months ago the ubuntu boot progress screen/login screen became misaligned. I want to say it started doing this after doing an apt-get upgrade to make sure my ports were all up to date. Basically the screen gets shifted 1/4 to the right of the screen. Once I log in to my account the resolution is automatically realigned properly. I did a dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg but using all the default options didn't correct the problem. Any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
