Scroll down the page and select the Manage Attachments button.

Of course you have to take the screen shot first.

Click Applications->Accessories->Take Screenshot.

Save your screenshot to disk.

In the forum, when posting, click the paperclip icon, upload your file with the browse button.

There's a tiny icon in the bar where you edit, it has a mountain and a sun. With that you'll embed an image in your post but it has to be hosted somewhere in the web, since clicking it will ask you for an URL

also if you click in NewReply you'll go "Advance" to edit a post, there's an icon with the image of a 'clip' (a paper holder I dunno how to say it in english) there you can attach files, if you attach an image it will be shown a thumbnail will be showed the bottom of your post, and it will be hosted within ubuntuforums server

In addition to the guides for it (posted by someone above), you can use several methods of taking a screenshot and hosting it. I prefer imageshack.us because you have more flexibility, a central host, the ability to have the site resize it to various sizes and make thumbnails (with or without the dimensions of the original printed in it) and it generates all the code for the forum. You don't need an account to use it, but an account is handy (and free).

For taking a screenshot you can use the PrtScr key, or you can use various applications. I use scrot.
