View Full Version : [ubuntu] This web site has the power to crash your X...

... or, at least, that is what happens on my Ubuntu 8.04 x86 running Firefox 3.0.1 and the latest Sun JavaVM from the standard Ubuntu distribution channels (I name the JavaVM because the page has applets in it).

The magic web site is:

www.antenna2.it

I go there, and after a few seconds I get a blank screen and X is restarting.

Where shall I start investigating to understand what the problem is? Thanks!

No crash here, but there were 6 object scripts that my no script plugin seemed to really dislike, and so they were blocked.

No crash here, but the site is so ugly that hurt my eyes:shock:

NoScript blocked 6 scripts here too.

Worked for me too. Flash Blocker didn't activate the 6 animations on the page. I find Flash and Java are the reasons that my FF would crash. Java applet loaded fine.

Yeah - lots of Flash will do that if Flash is not stable for you.
