I have my Ubuntu server running well and it is raw just command line. I have installed the LAMP stack and Samba sharing. I moved all of my music to the server and am now looking for a music player that can be run from this environment and be controlled by a browser.
Basically this server's audio is plugged into my stereo which is wired to speakers around the house/outside. I would like to find a way to control the media player via a browser (and thus any OS).
Hoping to be able to see the playlist, now playing, forward/back, etc from a browser.
Any ideas?
EDIT: I think I found what I need with MPD (http://www.musicpd.org/)
