I have Kubuntu with KDE 3.5.9 used and 4.1.1 installed as well, with a custom theme and KBFX. The problem started after a recent update.
The window list, located on the main panel, no longer refreshes properly. After a window is closed, it sometimes properly disappears from the list, but it may also appear superimposed onto the panel, despite not being present anymore. Sometimes it is also displaced, moved to the side or half-moved out of the panel.
The attached snapshot illustrates this: All but the first two window tabs on the left (Xchat and Firefox) are after-images left on the panel after the windows have been closed.
What can be causing this? I also use the newest version of compiz-fusion.
