writing this from my work machine running Breezy Live--the first and thus far only liveCD which correctly set the 1280x1024 mode for my monitor.

Downer: sound doesn't seem to work.

Machine is a bog-standard HP/Compaq Pentium 4 desktop with a dell 17" LCD.

Sound doesn't work with the livecd i don't think. It should after install though.
