I upgraded from gutsy to hardy. I understand that with the alternate CD there is a way to do full disk encryption at installation. Since I don't want to wipe my drive and start over, I am looking for a HOWTO for full disk encryption to protect my current system. Is there such a guide? Would be much appreciated.

thanks

There are other ways of encryption without reinstall with encfs with a encrypted directory the only security issue is with the swap partition being un-encrypted which if someone got into your system they could find the decryption keys and get to your stuff.

what you want is quite complicated... easiest way is to reinstall..
